TotalBox for Android

Application is freeware Android application not working alone. It is designed to only work with Total Commander for Android. Main idea and development work is done by Ondrej Kubo in cooperation with creator of the Total Commander application, Christian Ghisler.

Application’s purpose is to provide accessibility of your Dropbox data from Total Commander application. After installation of the app, its icon is displayed on the home screen of the Total Commander UI.

Before first usage you have to authenticate with Dropbox UI. In case you have Dropbox app installed, process redirects you to Dropbox app to allow access to your folders. Other way you will be redirected to Dropbox webpage in your web browser.

After you have authorized apps to access your Dropbox data, you can browse your online folders as they were common Total Commander folders.

Privacy Policy

Your data

Application acts exclusively as a data provider (or adapter) for Total Commander. App itself doesn’t access content of transferred data, analyze it or other way use your Dropbox content.

Phone’s identity

Application itself doesn’t identify your device and its status. This kind of data is usually used by app tracking tools (i. e. Google Analytics library). None of those is used in this app.

Usage statistics

Application doesn’t store and report any usage statistics. Only data transferred via network connection is the data you request from your storage.

Authentication Key

The only information stored for your account is authentication key making the application able to communicate with your Dropbox storage. This practice follows Dropbox guidelines and is secure on non-rooted devices and devices with no applications installed from unknown sources.

Application distribution and reports

Application is distributed exclusively via Google Play Store since September 24th 2012. No other distribution channels can be considered as secure.

Only usage reports are provided by functionality of the Play Store itself.
